On the 19th. December The Kiwanis Club of Escondido held it's annual Christmas party.  Hosted by Len and Mary Ellen it was bound to be a huge success, so it was.  Present for the fun (and spirits) were 27 of our members, dressed to kill (See Fran Ronalds uniform, especially the lower part).  Exchange of gifts was a riot as usual and I didn't get what I wanted.  Guess the members couldn't afford it ($45,000.00).  Some faces not seen very often graced the event. Jim Maher's wife Eva (along with Jim), as well as Howard and Claudia Madden helped to brighten the evening. 

Enter "Happy New Year".  Many of the same Christmas group, not satisfied with the revilry and spirits decided to Mosy on up to the Golden Village Palms RV Resort in Hemet for 6 days and 5 nights of comraderie and story telling.  The six Motor Homes were parked in a close "round up the wagons" so no one could get away with anything. There was no winner of the tallest tale so the competition will be continued next year.  this group consisted of Len & Mary Ellen, Joe and Jodi, Ted and Georgiana Kleiter, Fran & Louise, Charlie Morgan and date Rennae, and of course yours truly tagged along.  great party for New Years Eve at the Hemet Elks club lasted from 6:00 pm to well past midnight. Of course I, along with a few others were finished by 10:00 pm and decided to recognize the entry of the New Year in Chicago. It worked. See Ya'al next year............
